Who we are<\/h2>\n\n\n

Companies are a fundamental part of the development of a society. SMEs are the most representative companies -99.8% of the business fabric-, the main economic engine, generator of wealth and employment, and guarantee of social progress and the promotion of the welfare state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When legislation is enacted with children first in mind, taking into account the business dimension, we ensure an improvement in the economic and social perspective.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founded in 1974, Pimec is a multi-sectoral business confederation, independent and autonomous from any third-party body, power or entity. We have a network of headquarters, delegations and offices to assist SMEs throughout Catalonia, and with representation in Madrid and Brussels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently, Pimec is made up of more than 300 guilds and associations, as well as individual businesses; all together they add up to more than 150,000 associated companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Pimec, we actively promote the growth of companies and self-employed professionals, creating more opportunities for the future. We represent and defend the values \u200b\u200bof SMEs and self-employed professionals before the administrations, the rest of social agents and society in general, in a transversal way, throughout the territory and in the scope of all sectors, actively contributing to their growth and competitiveness, viability and productivity, and offering services and tools that help make them stronger.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
